Contact telephone number - Tape Market (Pty) Ltd is a purely online model. We are only able to deal with queries by email. The online sales process is handled by a team of administrators who can handle common queries only. More unusual or technical queries are dealt with by them contacting the relevant manufacturer, agent or consultant.
The telephone number above allows you to check the progress on an order and to confirm emails are being received in case of connection issues. They are not equipped to quote or advise on tape products. This is an outsourced function.
Our focus is entirely on the market that can use electronic communication. We believe we can supply more products at better prices if we stick to this model. It is not our intention to frustrate you with not having immediate access by phone. Please understand that such a service would not make this operation viable.
However we also realise that some of you may prefer to speak to a live person and others may not like the risk of doing business with a company with no obvious physical location. We have therefore arranged for some agents who will be able to deal with you in a more traditional and live way. Simply email agent@tapemarket.co.za and we will get a live person to phone you and solve your tape problem. In your email, please mention the product you are looking for as this will determine which agent we get to call you. Note that once you have chosen this option, you must deal with agent and cannot purchase directly from us. It is only fair after all as they have provided the service you required.
FAQ - Why is there no telephone number? Answer - The Tape Market (Pty) Ltd has chosen a completely online business model to keep costs as low as possible and therefore prices as low as possible. Most traditional style businesses spend a large portion of their overheads on their staff (full time salaries, offices, switchboards, furniture, etc). We have decided to eliminate this cost using automation and modern technology. Instead we use the existing infrastructure of manufacturers and agents and supply customers directly from them. Our automated procedures allow us to meet the manufacturers minimum requirements so we receive good pricing which we can pass on to our customers.
We can deal with most queries by email. Although we act mainly as an admin function, we have good contacts in the tape industry and can obtain technical tape answers from the manufacturers and agents.
FAQ - What if I have to speak to someone? Answer - We do not have the staff on standby to answer queries telephonically. If you insist on speaking to a live person then please email us with a brief description of the product you are looking for and we will try email you contact details of a more traditional company who may be able to provide this service. Unfortunately it is simply not a service we can provide without increasing costs.
FAQ - How do I know you are for real if I can’t speak to or visit your premises? Answer - There are several things for you to consider. 1) From our company registration number you will see that we have been in existence for nearly ten years and this can be verified with CIPC. 2) If this were a scam we would be selling higher value goods, not low priced adhesive tapes. 3) Test the process by ordering a small order and then increase your order size as we fulfil your expectations. 4) The nature of our product and business means that we need repeat orders.
